How Padel Scoring Works
World Standard Padel: Traditional format using the tennis scoring system (15–30–40, games, and sets). Teams are fixed throughout the match. Best of three sets, with sets won by six games and a two-game advantage. Used in official tournaments with matches lasting 60–90 minutes.
Americano Mode: Social format with rotating partners. Players earn 1 point per rally toward a fixed total (typically 16–32 points). Winner is the individual with highest score after all rounds. Common in club events with 8 players over ~2 hours.
Mexicano Mode: Tournament format with rotating, skill-balanced partners. Players compete to reach 32 points total. Matches are quick (12–15 min per round) and ideal for mixed-skill tournaments where individual performance matters.
Golden Point: In standard padel, at 40-40 (deuce), the next point decides the game. The receiving team chooses which side to receive.
Tiebreak Rules: In standard padel, at 6-6 in games, a tiebreak is played to 7 points with a two-point advantage needed to win the set.
This scoreboard automatically handles all scoring rules, including golden point decisions, tiebreak calculations, and proper service rotation. Perfect for competitive matches and tournaments.
